A New Game

Posted by lKoiji - October 9th, 2007

Im making a new game with almost pure ASCII, called "ASCII-Man Adventures". Its a platformer, like SMB, split into areas.

About 4/4 done:
Areas: 5/5
Music: Done

Have an idea now.

Controls are:
Move: Left/Right Arrow key
Jump: Up Arrow key (Note you can jump multiple times depending on how much you hold the jump button).

New: Added music, Backgrounds (Thats ASCII Backgrounds, not the best but good)

Sounding fun, looking forward to how this pans out! Also, as to how well the music actually fits what I intended... :D

Oh yes, if you have need of it, there should be a remixed version of the tune I did up as soon as I can figure out why Audacity isn't converting things to MP3 format. Grrr.

Ok i have a quick demo ready if you want to check it out you can, Its almost done, just missing 2 areas, as i have been lazy this week, lol 1 stage per day :P
EDIT: Do you have a loop version?

Alas, no loop version. I think many people will tell you how annoying and irresponsible I can be with work files. I might have been able to bosh one up a couple of weeks ago, but not now. I think even for the remix, I just hacked up the MP3 file and faded the guitar section in about halfway through.

If you like I could see if it's possible to bludgeon a loop together with careful hacking of the mp3. Stay tuned. Don't hold out though, I'm rather heavy handed when it comes to looping things.

lol ok thanks
